Your probably thinking right about now, Wow Im due for an upgrade. Well Im sure we all are and im sure that that game will take up every bit of that 1gb you have running right now. Pretty safe to say that you want 2gbs of ram, 3.0 ghz dual core cpu, a dx10 Graphics card such as the 7800 to get those super smooth dx10 graphics. Also upgrading from that aol connection of yours might help you on crysis's multiplayer gameplay.
Crysis's Release date stands at November 16, 2007!
_Our Thoughts_
Scooter: Crysis, the next Gen game with everything going for it. Now the system requirements may be little high for the common gamer, such as that noob stick that lives down the street playing halo 3 all day, but i suppose you could go into the in game menu and change all the settings to low. But then how would you be able to see all of the awesome effects an physics that Crytek has emplemented into this game? Crytek has put into this game what Halo 3 put into multiplayer. Effects. Graphics. All around fun. This games physics engine is so advanced that you can see the individual ferns blow in the wind. All of the animals in the game have their own lives that they live, and react accordingly to the environment. For example, if you saw a sea turtle walking on the beach it wouldn't be hiding in its shell at the time you saw it, but if you were to say walk up to it then it would hid in its shell. Same here. And the explosions, good god, the amount of damage that a tank can do to a forest is uncomparable to anything else in the game. If I were to shoot into a forest with it, the area of effect would not only kill anyone or anything their but the trees would also react to the blast effect. With a game that has these qualities who wouldn't want to spend the rest of their known existence at their computer desk?
Phase-Six: After being hyped on Crysis for the past year I think that Crysis is gonna come into the gaming world and just take everything and everyone by suprise. First thing that I think that is just amazing is that in the game you will be able to finish your mission anyway you feel is comfortable. Usually in other games missions are timed, or done a certain way, but in crysis you have the choice to take a different route or route to complete your objectives. This I think is a great idea on Crytek's part and that also while your in the game you will also experience real-time night and day effects as well as natural disasters and weather. Watching videos and reviewing this I found one thing that is very very unique, modding your weapon in gameplay. Thats right you can run in put a silencer on and then throw a scope on there and your ready to go. Also think that the Nano-Muscular Suit will be a really fun thing to play with in the game. From what ive seen you can pick up people and throw them, stop a car by down punching it, and as well as running like a beast. Also there is an option to get more more defence and go into a assassin-like cloak mode. Bad thing is while choosing these options your other attributes will go down, but heck if I can get extra strength to throw someone accross the map whos gonna need aim? Maybe to throw them in a building or something but thats rarely the case. With some of the features outta the way, Time for the eye candy! While checking screens and watching videos im gonna say that your gonna have to have a monster of a rig if you want those graphics you saw at e3. With Dx9 graphics Crysis will still be able to shine with great effects and visuals but with Dx10 graphics is where it really stands out. For instance if you look at a bush in the enviornment you will see every sing twig and stem stand out with its own shadow on the ground which is beautifully textured with sand and rocks. There are a lot more features that make Crysis just beautiful to look at. Some of those would be the Mountain views, Water and reflections, sky, and just the environment in General. Remember where its all dynamic and has its own role in the game it gives you the feeling like your actually there and you can pick a car up and whirl it into a group of enemies shooting at you. You will also be introduced to many vehicles in the game, such things from a simple pick-up truck to the delta force's aircraft carriers. Now on to multiplayer. Crysis will have the basics of any fps game such as Tactical Deathmatch, and Tactical Team Deathmatch. Now something Crytek has introduced would be Power Struggle, Power Strugle starts you out on a map with only a pistol and basic nano suit. You basicly go on a killing rampage getting points for you team (US Delta Force or North Korean Army) and that will allow you to buy more weapons, vehicles, and even a manufacturing plant? Thats pretty cool if I must say so myself. WOOTZER!!! WEAPONS TIME!!!!! Okay the following lineup for weapons I think for both single and multiplayer im gonna estimate that the most used foot soldier weapons will be the GK8 Gauss Rifle and the XM214 Hurricane Minigun. Idk I think they sound cool and probably are some heavy hitters. Well thats what I have to say about Crysis, Over and Out.
V3n0m: Hokai!
V3n0m here, tellin you my bit of mind on Crysis. Graphics, there probably some of the best around.
Story lines a bit decent.Multiple environments, multiple ways to die; and multiple ways to kill something.
My eyes the Graphics, environments and straight detail in general is what makes this game. AHAHA
Phase-Six and F.O.D.R are argueing about this, kinda funny. but my short add on this is to an end!
-Till next time.
F.O.D.R: Crysis What to say? Well its looking A LOT like a game that came out a long time ago, Far Cry. At the time Far Cry had breaking edge graphics, AI, and Physics. That’s what is being said for this game too. They’ll get outdated soon, but keep in mind graphics and physics don’t make a game great. With that being said, this looks a lot like they took the stealth play of Splinter cell, and the strategic element and had a head on collision with Far Cry. The storyline? Some meteor crashes. As usual Korea is the first on the scene to claim it, then oh snap aliens come and turn the world into ice? Im not exactly sure on the story either.
Good things? Well the graphics are amazing, the physics are great, the customization is mediocre. Bad things? Dry story, but if you’re playing it for the graphics/shooter element then you don’t really care
In the end it’s a Bland FPS with poorly implemented RPG elements, dressed up with great graphics. I’m personally waiting for Prototype / Dead Space.
